The last week... |
Apart from Agatha winding down waiting for the birds to come take the seeds from the bird table, we went for a walk in the Wyre Forest and just now we're preparing to go to the panto.
I'll post the photographs from the Woods tomorrow.
The first tree in the garden to show its full autumn colours is the rowan tree in the front. I took this series of pictures in the wind with the ISO speed set to 500. The result is a little overexposed where there is light but I like the effect.
The pictures were all short in two or three bursts with the Auto focus on so different leaves and branches within the same frame got the focus from shot to shot. They all should be rotated to portrait to be accurate but I think I prefer them with the branches and leaves running horizontally.
Apart from merging the watermark I haven't touched these. I think they'd made good cards.
I haven't had time to do very much with the 1200 or so photographs I took during the week in Cornwall but here is the first small set of Eden, the experiment in large dome horticulture close to St Austel.

Last night there was a full moon, with the way our front garden is oriented, almost due south, the moon tracks right across the end of the garden and is framed by the trees each night.
We haven't seen what we think is a pipistrel bat this year, it seems to come a little later in the year and flashes around the front garden. What we did see today was a pair of bull finches in the front garden pulling at the seed heads.
I hadn't realised that the new camera went down below a 30th of a second, the picture on the right is I think at about 15th of a second and hand held.
